Memorable: This game was played in Touring Performance Style whereby all new cards from The King in Yellow were placed above those existing base game ones. Due to this, the new Acts mythos came fast and furious. Within 3 hours, all 3 were out. Since that defeat the purpose of exploring The King in Yellow, we chose to ignore those Act cards and keep playing.

There were 7 Yellow Sign tokens added to the board due to 5(?) monster surges that resulted in terror track to increase. For the 2 Yellow Sign tokens added to the doom track, 2 Blights were drawn: Abigail Foreman and Father Michael.

With the knowledge of the spell Storm of Spirits, Dexter Drake was able to slay monsters in Arkham with relative ease. Although he fell in the face of Hastur, he dealt his fair share of arcane rampage to unmake it. He closed 2 gates.

During a Mythos Headline whereby investigators were given the opportunity to exchange their sanity for Clue tokens on 1-to-1 basis. Amanda Sharpe, who was at her maximum of 5 sanity, spent 4 sanity in order to gain 4 Clue tokens. She proceeded to travel to Black Cave where she was made to lose a turn. Her next encounter there made her lost 1 sanity, driving her insane. She had a spectacular 25-dice roll during the game.

Darrell Simmons managed to retain his Retainer throughout the game, making him loaded with cash. He wanted to go on a shopping spree but monsters constantly blocking his way. Eventually, he arrived to the shop, unloaded his cash on sexy weapons which his distributed to investigators when Hastur awaken. Before that, he was feeling lucky and went to South Church to get a Blessing. Apparently, God hated him getting blessed. The Blight Father Michael was drawn, needless to say Darrell Simmons was not feeling that blessed afterall.

The Call the Azure Flame - Azure Flame and Healing Stone combo allowed Gloria Goldberg to give monsters a good beating. She got hold of a Time Bomb which set off and killed 2 monsters. She closed 4 gates and sealed 2 in the process.

Mandy Thompson was the only investigator who had to visit St. Mary's Hospital throughout the game.

The monsters released from gates are tough beyond imagination. 1 Shoggoth, 1 Warlock, 1 Fire Vampire, 3 Dark Young(!!!), and to mock the investigators, among the party of insidious monsters are 2 cuties: 1 Mi-Go and 1 Cultist.

Kate Winthrop was the only who unfortunately survived to have the chance to witness the uprising of the hideous Shub-Niggurath. She was the only investigator who had a monster trophy when the Black Goat awoke. Failing her saving throw against Shub-Niggurath's attack, she inevitably met her demise. The Black Goat reined triumph over Arkham!

Memorable: Another crushing defeat in the face of the Black Goat!

Shub-Niggurath and Black Goat of the Woods was just plain ridiculous. Within 3 to 4 turns, the board was swarmed with monsters. Their buff in life made Cultist a potential killer!

It was natural for the investigators to lose due to unnatural super outsiders trying to claim Arkham as their new home. However, 2 of them did an amazing feat that shall put shiver down the spine of monsters inhabitating Arkham, and for those spineless ones ...... break out a sweat or whatsoever.

The old lecher, Harvey Walters, had been lusting for the young, beautiful Carolyn Fern. She had always felt uneasy whenever he stared at her. She had tried various means to shake him off, even to the extent of reporting him stalking her home to the Deupty of Arkham.

One day, as usual, Harvey Walters tried to impress Carolyn Fern again. This time by mean of hero rescuing damsel in distress. He executed his plan perfectly: he 'dated' her at the St. Mary's Hospital, saying that he had a little surprise for her.

They met and he passed her an old, worn out flute to her as a gift. He could tell from her face that she was totally disguisted by it. Now for step 2: he drank the Milk of Shub-Niggurath before entering into the hospital. By then, monsters lurking in Arkham should have been lured by the scent of the very milk from the Black Goat itself.

Hearing a commotion outside the window, Carolyn Fern peered toward the garden outside. What a sight to behold: 1 Ghost, 1 Warlock, 2 Goat Spawn, 1 Dhole, 1 Byakhee, 1 Nightgaunt and 1 Flying Polyp. Carolyn Fern shrieked.

Everything went according as planned, thought Harvey Walters. However, he was not aware of the full effects of Milk of Shub-Niggurath. Slowly, his mind gone blank ...... to the point whereby he had gone insane and Carolyn Fern had people to send him to the Arkham Asylum where she worked for she was the psychologist of Arkham.

One bother down, she thought, now move on to the other one. Gazing at the monsters surrounding the hospital, woman's 6th sense struck her. Instinctive, she blew the flute. It emitted a strange tune, curiously low but high pitch at the same time. Listening to the tune, she hallucinated some ancient beings reaching out authoritatively toward her. Her body was suddenly sapped of energy to attempt any escape.

Carolyn Fern heard a voice in her mind. The ancient beings, who named themselves to be Outer Gods, struck a bargain with her: listen to the entire tune of the flute. If survived, they will clear the monsters away, for the monsters fear beings that were more omnipotent then the already omnipotent Ancient Ones, and in this case Shub-Niggurath.

Carolyn Fern had no choice but to accept it, for this was the only solution to save Arkham. She endured the tune, drained both mentally and physically. 'Very well', she heard it boomed in her mind, followed by shrieks outside the window. She saw the monsters twisting and cowering, as if something more monstrous was approaching. Suddenly, they ceased to exist. 'It is done'.

Memorable: Jerald commented that Diana Stanley is 'very chio'.

Yongzheng felt 'fucked' because we failed to 'hoot' the Ancient One, Shudde M'ell out after 5 hours of game play.

Even though the investigators did not really miss those locations closed by Shudde M'ell's earthquake, as each location destroyed into rubble, everyone was worried by the approaching emergence of Shudde M'ell out of nowhere.

Much effort had been put in by the investigators: throughout the long drawn 5-hour battle, they fought through gates of the Other Worlds numerous times, sealing probably 10 gates. However, the flux occurring in Arkham keep bursting through the ancient symbols of elder signs, rendering their effort fruitless. Only 2 elder signs were left in the end.

In the end, the inevitable happened. With 1 rubble counter left, Shudde M'ell tunnelled out from myth into existance. That also meant that the investigators had only 2 turns to slay the giant wurm before it would unmake Arkham.

The investigators did fought hard but not enough. In 2 turns, they pummelled Shudde M'ell down to 3 doom counters ...... but it survived to shatter the world into rubble.

Memorable: Whole game lasted for only 4 turns. 1 gate from game setup, 4 from mythos cards
and 1 from encounter (A gate and a monster appear!). None of Servant of Glaaki ever entered into play. Since when Glaaki woke up terror track was 0, we had 10 turns to kill it at our leisure.

Marie Lambeau was fortunate to drew double Wither and a Shrivelling, making her the most powerful magic damager. However, with highest number of dice roll among all investigators fighting against Glaaki, Marie Lambeau had little luck with her 10 dices. In order to cast spells continously, she had gone mad 3 times. She became Delirium, Mania and Necrophobia.

We managed to murder Glaaki after its 4th attack, raising the terror track to 4. Rita Young had the last hit with her shotgun and clue tokens.

Memorable: Originally Jason was using Carolyn Fern. However, Betrand departed to watch NDP (Which is more important: witnessing Singapore's pre-birthday celebration or saving Arkham from devastation?) and since his character was in much better shape than Broken Handed Carolyn Fern, Jason retired her and sex-changed into Monterey Jack.

After the only monster surge occurred, a Child of Abhoth sprawned out from the Lost Carcosa gate at Independence Square which then moved down one space into the Downtown street. After that, we realised that both Bob Jenkins and Monterey Jack were stuck at Arkham Asylum for the rest of the turns till Abhoth awaken due to having 8 gates opened.

With mainly 6 monster trophies (Bob Jenkins), bunch of clue tokens (Michael McGlen) and bunch of expandable items (Monterey Jack), we managed to make Abhoth into cream sauce after it had stripped us of everything other than our weapons.

Memorable: This game was a special request from Jerald. He has been researching on the lore of Arkham and once he was told that the Curse of the Dark Pharaoh will be added to the game mix, he demanded to issue a challenge against Nyarlathotep, who was a pharaoh himself, according to Jerald's research. Naturally, the herald The Dark Pharaoh had been choosen to prepare the way for Nyarlathotep.

Throughout the game, Betrand was like Patrick + Jerald: His dice roll sucked and frequently delayed.

Jerald, who is so used to being delayed, did not have a chance to be delayed in this game to put Mark Harrigan's One Man Army ability in to use.

One of the mythos cards drawn added 2 doom counters to the doom track instead of opening a gate.

Throughout the game, only 1 or 2 unique items were drawn and no Mask monsters were drawn.

Despite being the Expedition Leader, Leo Anderson had failed to score any monster kill.

Rita Young was pondering if she should seal the gate R'lyeh that she had spent 3 turns to close, considering the facts that if a new gate were to be opened during mythos phase, the last doom counter would be added and Nyarlathotep would be awaken. Since 5 clue tokens that would be required to seal gate would have been 5 extra turns of survival against Nyarlathotep ...... In the end, she chose to seal the gate, since much effort had been put into that gate. She only hoped that monster surge would occur instead of a new gate open during mythos phase.

After Rita Young sealed her gate, Mrk Harrigan had his encounter at Independence Square ...... A gate and a monster appear! Rita Young's heart sank upon the news, staring at her 2 clue tokens ...... will the 4 investigators able to finish off Nyarlathotep before its third successful attack which will devour her?

It turned out that the rest of the team want her to die, Rita Young handed her Rifle to Diana Stanley who must had been using crappy weapons.

Upon witnessing Rita Young being devoured by Nyarlathotep, the 3 survivals finished off it off the next turn. FML.

Memorable: It was predicted that Arkham will be devoured whole by Tsathoggua even before the game began. To fulfill its attack requirement was just impossible.

Midway into the bid to save Arkham from its destined fate, all investigators were in the Other Worlds at the same time, either exploring on their own initiative or being drawn into them by enounters or mythos gate opening. Coupled with delays, the mutated Lickitung was sure to awake in no time.

This game featured the first appearance of Sister Mary who is known to suck. However, in this game, she became the most qualified killing machine, with an arsenal of Blessing, Grapple, Fetch Stick and Holy Water. However, while the rest of the investigators were proud to procvlaim that they had a monster trophy under their belt, even though they were vanillas: Zombie by Wilson Richards, Cultist by Jenny Barnes and Child of the Goat by Michael McGlen, Sister Mary had not do her God justice by lending her power in the cause of redeeming Arkham. Even with her pwnage sexy dice roll, all 4 investigators only managed to tickle Tsathoggua 1 out of 13 doom tokens.

This was the shortest game we ever had, 4 mythos cards and 1 round of pathetic attempt to kill off the Ancient One who swallows. GG.

Memorable: Yu Xuan was the 1st player to be lured by PSP, followed by Betrand.

Thanks to the Herald Ghroth, Eihort had a head start of 2 Doom tokens.

Thanks to the Guardian Hypnos, nearly every turn Visions of Hypnos granted an extra Clue token on board.

It started off rather unfortunate for Daisy Walker. On turn 2, she was on the street and 2 Shan and a Byakhee decided to party with her. Fortunately, she had maxed out her Will. Unfortunately, despite using 2 Clue tokens, she failed to pass her horror check against Shan. It proceeded to devour her slowly and excruciatingly. There gone the Librarian. Soon after, the Dreamer Luke Robinson sensed great peril in Arkham and had decided to join in the fray.

Rex Murphy, being Cursed right from the start, had great difficulty in closing gate. Loaded with Clue tokens, he spent them, 1 by 1, in attempt to roll a '6' for success to close the gate. Fortunately, upon the 10th and the last Clue tokens he managed to succeed in closing the gate.

Rex Murphy had great difficulty in reaching South Church to shake off his Curse. At last, he got Lost in Time and Space, whereby he teleported into South Church straight away at turn 12, losing his Curse. Unfortunately, soon after he became Cursed again from encounter which he painstakingly went to South Church again to de-curse.

1st rift came out materialised at The Witch House on turn 13 and 2nd rift at Unvisited Isle on turn 18.

1st Elder Sign was placed at Historical Society by Luke Robinson on turn 13. 2nd Elder Sign was placed at Independence Square by Tony Morgan on turn 15.

Throughout the game, Tony Morgan did not use his ability at all. Rex Murphy constantly enmassing Clue tokens. Luke Robinson became the least edquipped after being Lost in Time and Space due to monster appearing in Other Worlds, the horrible visage drove him insane. Lily Chen had not enter into any gates.

When Eihort awoke, an Epic Battle with the Ancient One ensued. Tony Morgan was first to get devoured, followed by Lily Chen and Luke Robinson. The last to die, Rex Murphy, was not even close to finish it off. For as Eihort devoured investigators, it swallowed the Brood tokens they had and converted them into extra health. At the end of battle, its effective health was 17, even though the investigators gave in all they had got and dealt 11 damage to it.

Memorable: 1st ever 6-player game. Very different from 2-player game. Clue drought, no monster ever hit outskirt and Terror Track stuck at Level 0

Outcome: Sufficient Gates sealed --> Cthulhu slumbered on with 9 Doom counters, 6 Elder Signs on board and Terror Track at Level 8
Casualty: 0
Memorable: Overnight gaming. Everyone has entered into the Arkham Asylum, St. Mary's Hospital or both at least once. Towards the end, Jerald who opted to play safe at South Church, had not expect the following Arkham Encounter: "Upon entering the church, you are attacked by Father Michael with a giant cross, who for some reason believes you to be in league with the devil. Make a Speed (-1) check. If you pass, you escape. If you fail, lose 2 Stamina. In either case, move to the street". Of course, he failed, reducing him down to 1 Stamina.

P.S. Father Michael had been driven mad in The King in Yellow expansion, turning him into a Blight: "Blessings are discarded during the Upkeep phase on a roll of 1-5".

The Freud Test

The Genital Period is different from the rest. In order to arrive here successfully, you have to have resolved most conflicts from the other periods. This is no small feat. Freud believed that this indicated several things: First, that an individual has abandoned their incest feelings for their opposite-sex parent and has therefore let go of any rivalry with their same-sex parent. Secondly, that they've let go of the phallic problems around gender identification and are able to lovingly accept and appreciate the differences between the sexes. Lastly, that they can now identify with the same-sex parent and be on good terms with them.

4th Week of Holiday

I did a delivery order to a company in the International Plaza at Tanjong Pagar.

27th September 07

The MINDS event turned out not to be a talk but an activity - bring the clients, mostly mentally challenged people of various ages around the school. Originally was paired up with Fiona to a man who "require special attention". However, after lunch, Ms Wee Ping mobolised her to assist Bernice who was handling an "Empress" who only walk with people holding her both sides. I am not the talking type so me and Ah Fah just walked on. Half of the time he would want to walk to a particular direction, so I tagged along. Most of the time, he would turn his head, fixing his attention to girls walking by, sometimes stopped to look on.

Later, at the coin phone booth at the right hand side of the auditorium, he rushed into the toilet. I stopped him but he pointed his finger up to the male toilet sign. However, the toilet was painted pink, with the female toilent sign opposoite of the male one. Too late to stop, bo bian have to wait. Worse was that a female staff wanted to enter the toilent. She eyed me suspiciously as I explained. Until he came out, she still had the dregded look, not speaking even once.

Went to the company's storage to get some goods.

29th September 07

My accounting friend decided to jio me to meet up to relax before commencing on a big project. He treated me Fish & Co. at AMK Hub. We stuffed ourselves, especially on the grilled calamari which we had not expected the large quantity given.

Next, we took a taxi to Expo Hall 8 for the afternoon session of the City Harvest Church (CHC). Still don't like the rock concert thing but the sermon was interesting. It was on the reason to tithe, on the topic of giving what is valuable instead of junks.

After that, Friend's cell group and I went to Clark Quey's Riverside Indonesian Restaurant for dinner. Not really spicy which was good. Calamari was there but I did not touch. I tried every other dishes. They were good, especially the steamed fish which practically no body touched it, therefore I devoured 3/4 of it.

Finally, Sherine, the cell group's leader, Alex, cell group's member, Feiend and I went to the Mind's Cafe. We played I'm the Boss. I had sort of won, at least a tie between 3 players. Friend felt bad for taking Sherine out of the game since the beginning. She warned that Friend would "get it during cell group meeting". Heh, seem that both me and her are into antagonizing people. Of course it was me who had started it. Well, 2 well-versed game players versus 2 casual players. Friend had to leave, so I tagged along for the taxi.

When asked by Friend whether I had enjoyed myself, standard reply was "ok loh" which meant at least my time was not wasted.

First day of work at Universal Wellness Pte Ltd, a company which its office is located on the 5th floor of Block Q, opposite of the food laboratory and next to Silliker. At the moment, the coconut oil -selling company has 3 people, The boss, Mr Heng, who patented a technology to fractionate coconut oil which has a melting point at 4 degree Celsius, against to conventional 25 and 10 degree Celsius. Tang Qian, friend of Ling Yang, is the pillar of support of the company because the 3rd is me. I was tasked to search the Internet to find distributors of other countries to extend the reach of the Cocos products. Frankly, that was boring as there ain't sufficient physical movement or thinking to keep me awake.

18th September 07

Routine of netting went on. Fortunately, spent about 2 hours in the afternoon to fill some oil into bottles using beaker and funnel for cosmetic/message oil.

19th September 07

Work was netting. Starting to be able to filter away junk results and able to decide the relevance of the search result. However, those emails sent had mostly yield no replies.

After work, Alvin (?), Ms Wee Ping's boyfriend, drove us, including Ling Yang, who revealed that she went along somewhat "reluctantly", to Aloha chalet. In the morning went for Project 1 marketing tour. I was late, by the time I reached Fatimah, Hui En and See Hui had finished the Chinese one. Bing Lin, hmmm....as usual (?) was not really aware of this until the night before so he was out of commission, anyway got driving theory test and work. We went to the Indian one but nothing much to see, in my opinion. Reached school at 1pm and started to dig the Internet again...null replies as usual.

Met Hui En and Fatimah at Paya Lebar MRT station. See Hui was still in slumber so was Bing Lin. He came while we told See Hui to sleep on. The Malay market was no different. This shows the success of PAP government: integration of races.

It all ended at 9am and I was supposed to meet Desmond and gang for the card game Munchkin, I slept through the bus ride to Pasir Ris. Picked up coupons for McDonald's and ordered a breakfast set and spent my time reading Today, the newspaper.

Outside Ochard MRT station, a skimpily-clothed lady was distributing gold bars...with a piece of flyer inside.

30th August

Last day of examination. Some of us went to Suntec to get some donuts at the Donut Factory. Then went for Carl's Jr. Later, me, Binglin, Yun Xuan, Li Juan, Fiona, Esther and Jerold went for bowling. I had my usual initial lucky shots, then plenty of misses.

1st Week of September

I bought the card game Citadels. For that week, I had multiple gaming sessions with both my NS friends and the group of Bing Lin, Esther, Yun Xuan and Eunice. Definitely better than Fluxx.

Also, did some signing up with job agencies. The rest of them did received calls but not me. May be discrimination against me, then Singapore Permanent Resident?

10th September

I became Singaporean.

12th September

Went to school to play Citadels with Bing Lin and his CCA mates. Saw Ms Wee Ping and the food laboratory assistant (Ling Yang?). I mentioned my lack of calls, then Ling Yang said that a company in school had vacancy.

14th September

Went to school to take a look at the job at Universal Wellness Pte Ltd. Mainly administrative jobs and occasional stock-taking and transporting of products. Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, 17th September to 12 October. Pay according to NYP's attachment/internship rate of S$400 per month. Smitten by the necessity to wear formal wear. As a company handling food, that translate to 5 pairs of clothes. Have to spend money for the job...

Met Desmond for dinner at KFC. The Spicy Lime Hot Devil Drumlet is not flavourly intense enough for me.

15th September

Went to Robinsons to spend my $60 voucher. Asked a newbie for the cheapest shirts available. He suggested the 2 for $69 only valid for solid colours of a particular brand, originally cost $89 each. Unsure, he asked his colleagues and they replied cheapest as $89 each...I would not have known about the 2 for $69 as there was no signs regarding this "promotion".

Why children should read books

Last Monday, I facilitated the conduct of maths lesson. Girls in class were in fright and terror upon the sight of a living cockroach roaming in the classroom, minding its own business. They attempted to use their sonic resonance to irritate the hell out of the poor creature but in vain. On of them even attempted to enlarge herself by jumping onto her chair, in the hope that the superior height difference would indeed make a difference to the roach.

To end this madness, I stepped on it, therefore ending both parties' misery and as a result, the maths lesson got to proceed on.

Helped out in the StageArts production last Wednesday. I was, in the end, appointed as the [Prop Master]. Sadly, such title was meaningless as more likely, I should had been termed [Backstage Props Coordinator of the Stage Left]. All in all, given only 3 days to prepare, the experience was a bad one, even though everything pulled out alright.

3 Thurdays ago, we had our project presentation for Principles of Economics. I dare say that our group's powerpoint was succine, to the point and without lard which most, if not all the rest of the groups had. Watched the 7pm chinese drama 手足 on Thursday and Friday. Totally crapy plot. The story is simply un-believable. Why subject Singaporeans to these cream of the crap. If higher rating is the thing aspired, showing Hong Kong, Japanese, Taiwan or Korean dramas is the way to go.

Watched news and saw people crying over Hairy Poker books. Please, you may cry over spilled milk but not over the book. Soaking the book in brine just ruin it. Speaking of that, may as well just make it a digital copy, so that pirates can ripe it for free while riding on the recently hype for greener Gaia. At least just make an effort to stain the paper green. Who knows, the mojo of Hairy Poker may actually facilitate photosynthesis and roots growing out of the books.

Life of a TMT Member

Last Friday, being a dedicated Theatre Management Team (TMT) member, I helped out in the event Sinphonique! or whatever the spelling. I was in charge of handling the old cranky spotlight on the right of the auditorium. It being heavy was not so much an issue other than I lack the muscle endurance. The unbearable were the facts that the spotlight does not rotate smoothly, this made trailing the emcees a jagged process; there was no rehersals for us, everything was impromptu, mistakes happened but doubt audience would give a damn about them; and the event was 2.5 hours long, I was standing all the time lest the 15 minutes interval. Again, I lack the muscle endurance.

Saturday, woke up with a slight sore throat. Not expecting it to get healed within a week. Good news from Desmondo: he is putting those wicked designs onto shirt templates. Steaming liao.

Monday, good to know that all subjects passed so far and that there IS break before examinations. Can still slack. During the Microbiology class, the laboratory was filled with laughter. On my part, I particularly enjoyed my Faint-Spell-Fall. Perfect execution such that Weeping suggested me to join drama club. If they do mime I will definately join. Memorising lines, putting on those fake expressions, getting into character and speaking in the exagerated way are not my style. My style is what makes me unique. She also mentioned that after reading my blog, she felt that I am ...... therefore I suggested the word [anti-social]. She found it fitting but I told her that my anti-social-ness is an improved and specialised.

Tuesday, the cough is getting a little buay tahan. Half way through the day then I realised: at least half the class won't appear tomorrow for the dedicated, 1-hour econs lesson from 12pm to 1pm. Procrastination still pre-dominates this stage of my life. At night, received a SMS asking for TMT members' assistance on Friday, 3rd Aug 2007 7pm - 9pm for an event for Rotaract Club. What the hell is that club? Come to think about it, May be I should quit Sudoku Club since a) I learnt nothing new as I know most of the techniques and b) there is like no members left.

Being Food Science students, it is important for us to know why human breast milk cannot be made into cheese.

Maths gotten A. Heng those chim questions did not screwed me and those easy one are really easy ones. Maths can be deceptively difficult at times.

Karen Ho was not happy that some of us did not attempt the tutorial.

Ah Phoon was silently furious at those latecomers and that some of us did not attempt the tutorial. He *hinted* that both buffer and chemical kinetics are important.

After the 1 hour Microbiology Lab session, we had the June monthly gathering with Ms Weeping. This time, she borrowed the idea of her Sunday School activity for Father's Day. She spent her own money on 2 packs of colour-coated wires. We were supposed to use 2 wires to bend out bookmark of whatever shape we like. As expected, there was moral behind this activity, a bit philosophical I would say which I like. Some of them are:

----Every piece is a master piece as it is unique, shaped by us.
----The finished product could tell the personality, habits and thoughts of the maker.
----Simplicity is beauty.
----It takes a genius to decipher what is the shape the maker has depicted.
----Simple people can be complicated and vice versa.

In my opinion, this session was better than the previous dart-throwing session, in terms of the ideas and thoughts behind it. Me don't like goal-setting...

I know that this cannot function as a bookmark but is it really so complicated until cannot decipher what I made? Me think Ms Weeping still dunno what it is.

Dismissing Avoidant

The dismissing avoidant attachment style is theorized to develop when the needs of an infant are consistently not met by the primary caregiver. Bowlby originally observed this style of attachment following World War II in over crowded British orphanages. Because there were so many children and so few staff, the babies were often left alone in cribs for extended periods of time. Last week was my common test week.

Before that was 2 weeks of Semester Break. The 1st week was spent in excessive slumber due to unknown sickness. At the beginning of the 2nd week, my lvl97 Sniper in Maple Story SEA was revived. During the rest of the week, I had read some of the notes for Microbiology and Food Science, nothing else.

25/06/07 - Physical Chemistry

40 MCQs saved my revision which began the day before.

From that day onward, library became the 2nd home.

Is it really that difficult for people to believe that some people just lack the self-discipline and started revision for a test just the day before?

Karen Ho's method of balancing equations still make more sense than Ah Phoon's.

26/06/07 - Inorganic Chemistry

Again saved by the 40 MCQs.

Did nothing for maths except memorizing the formula.

27/06/07 - Mathematics

Basket, all those formula were provided.

Hope can pass.

Was informed that StageArts Drama annual production is on 08/08/07 and I am tasked to do spotlight. Something new to me and it seems not require me to be present for every meeting.

28/06/07 - Microbiology

Total - 100 marks.

For Food Science, no MCQs = no guess work.

Majorly annoyed as I have been viewed by random anonymous profiles in Friendster.

More so when I received an email to be added as friend by someone but either the profile does not exist or request cancelled. Worse still, tracing back became impossible as he/she has the view anonymously on, email search failed and so did the name search.

Monday

Skipped Microbiology practical to meet up with guardians for appointment at KK Hospital. After a bit of chit chat with the doctor, proceeded to take blood for DNA sequencing for spinocerebellar ataxia type 3. This is supposed to get a 2nd opinion with respect to the test done in UK in year 2004 with test result 78 repeat of CAG. The nurse who took my blood had a shock of her life. After puncturing the needle into my vein, as she pulled the piston, bubbles were collected. She panicked, shoulted for assistance. She pressed onto my vein to prevent blood from oozing out. Assistance came, she changed the syringe tube with the needle remained in my vein. Meanwhile we asked her why there was air bubbles but she failed to give us a satisfactory explanation. This was my first time to have a lingering pain jab.

Tuesday

Tabitha, Head of Mindsports Club informed me that I would be joining the semi final of the BRAND’S® SUDOKU CHALLENGE SINGAPORE 2007 on 8th June and final on 9th June if I manage to get through the 8th June. Incidentally, it clashed with my Stage Arts camp from 8th to 10th June. Good to know that Hasyima, Head of TMT has no issue with it.

Wednesday

Went on a field trip to Oh Farms, a herbs and spices farm for the Elective Complementary and Alternative Medincine module. Ms Wee Ping went too. Photos taken:

Thursday

Had the quiz for Microbiologyfor Food Science. Due to lack of time, there were 2 choices: memorise and understand the mechanism or memorise pecular facts. I chose the 1st one. In the end, it turned out that out of 25 MCQs, there were about 3 to 5 questions on pecular facts. Therefore, it is gone case.

Friday

Gotten back the Inorganic Chemistry report. Was told to give a summary of what I wrote for the last question. What I put was long explaination using numbers.

Gotten back the Introduction to Food Science report. Was told that I could do better than that. What I put was the summary of the introduction.

At night, attended the Stage Arts Orientation night. More of a Seniors-Showcasing-What-They-Have-Established-And-Capable-Of Session. 2 drama performances, some dance performances, 2 seniors sang Beautiful Liar, 2 games, junior cosplay contest and senior cosplay cat walk.

Saturday

Slept till 2pm. Then slept again from 3 to 6pm. Dinner went to Junction 8 for Ajisen Ramen. 1st time eating it since I came to Singapore for 10 years.
